El Ladrillo stands for "The Brick" in Spanish, and the excellent reputation of this fine restaurant is as solid as its name suggests. In 1975 Tata and Tato, the restaurant’s owners, opened for business with four tables, in their hometown of Dorado. El Ladrillo, is the first “Mesón Gastronómico” of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.


Tato and Tata, along with their head Chef (who has been with them for more than 20 years), specialize in fresh U.S. prime Angus beef Skirt Steak, Sirloins, T-bones, filet mignons and other meats cuts grilled and served exactly to your taste.


But their seafood and fish, caught fresh from island waters, is offered in a greater variety of dishes. From Puerto Rican style shrimp and lobster stews to Zarzuela, a delicious combination from the sea in a sauce laced with herbs.

You will love to try our exquisite home made typical desserts. And to complement their artistry in the kitchen, paintings by local artists decorate El Ladrillo’s walls and bar.
